Tara Mulqueen, associate professor at the School of Law at the University of Warwick (UK), will share findings from her recent research. In that study, she co-produced research with trusted intermediaries on the experiences of marginalized groups in dealing with law-related issues, particularly during and in the aftermath of the pandemic.
Antonio Coronado, Professor of Practice and Community Legal Education Lead for Innovation for Justice, will discuss the emergence of community-based justice worker programs in the U.S., and their experience with community-based justice worker models in Arizona, Utah, and the growing national movement.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Tara Mulqueen is an Associate Professor of Law at Warwick Law School in Coventry UK and serves as codirector of Warwick Law in the Community (LinC), the school's program of community-based collaborative projects. She has been involved in designing, teaching, and researching public legal education for the past ten years in a variety of settings. She is currently leading a qualitative, local legal needs study in Coventry with trusted intermediaries.

Antonio M. Coronado is a Professor of Practice and the Community Legal Education Lead at Innovation for Justice (i4J), jointly housed at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. Antonio leads the programmatic development of i4J’s suite of community-based justice worker initiatives across two U.S. states: Arizona and Utah. They received their J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and hold both a B.A. and M.A. in Communication from the University of Arizona. As a community legal educator, their scholarship focuses on critical legal empowerment, reparative pedagogies, and the work of building a democratized legal profession.
